Johnny Rockets - 1

For the new year Dom and I decided we would try one new restaurant every month at the least.  Last night we decided to try Johnny Rockets! Bad but good.

This was right up Dom's alley :) 

Maia Turns Nine

Maia has finally turned nine!  She kept it simple this year and decided she wanted to go snow tubing with Phoebe at Soldier Hollow.  So off to Midway we went!

Gymnastics Recital 2013

Yesterday was Maia's gymnastics recital.  She showed us her skill on the beam, tramp, bars and floor!

We are so proud of our little gymnast!!

Halloween Party 2013

This year we also had an impromptu Halloween party...

I think Maia had the most fun making the "witch's brew"...

We played a game where the kids had to search for Gummy Bears in "brain soup" 

Maia was, once again, the only one that truly apprciated this game.

I think it's safe to say that they all had a great time!

Thriller 2013

Last year we started a new Halloween tradition...going to see Thriller.  

This zombie nearly brought Maia to tears...

We had tons of fun!

It's Pumpkin Carvin' Time!

Oh the dreaded pumpkin carving day...it never turns out to be as fun as we all anticipate but we still had really good laughs as a result :)

Midway - UEA

We usually never go anywhere for UEA break but this year we gave Maia the option of either having a Lagoon Day or heading to Midway and going to The Crater...She chose Midway so that's where we went!

Here's the outside of the little cottage we stayed in...

 

 Our view was gorgeous too.  Fall beauty at it's finest :)

The first thing we did was head straight to The Crater where we enjoyed a soak in the warm mineral water and had some fun snorkeling...

Then we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Homestead Resort restaurant...

Overall, we had a fun time and it's always great to spend some quality family time away from home. Love you guys!
